Now, add a mask in the exact shape and size as the square you started out with (400px by 400 px square, 15 px corner radius.) to hide the ellipse.

Add a drop shadow onto the square as a new layer behind the pre existing square-mask layer group, or apply it ON the group layer. (depending on software)

Add 2 inner shadows on the square to create “edges”.
